Dünya üzerinde Bluetooth teknolojisinin geliştirildiği tek merkez olan Bluetooth SIG, 21 Nisan’da yeni versiyon Bluetooth teknolojisi olan Bluetooth 3.0′ın özelliklerini açıklayacağını duyurdu. Bluetooth SIG’e bağlı Bluetooth Çip üreticileri, yeni versiyonun kamuoyuna açılmadığı halde bu aydan sonra güncellenmiş versiyonuyla kullanılmaya başlanacağını bildirdi.
Bluetooth 3.0, geliştirilmiş bir dosya aktarım protokolüne ve saniyede 480 Mbit hızla indirme yapabilme kabiliyetine sahip. 802.11 teknolojisi(teknik olarak WiFi olmayıp, WiFi tarafından kullanılan 802.11 arabirimi kullanan) ile çok daha büyük dosyaları transfer etmek mümkün olacak. Eski versiyon ile sadece randevular, iletişim bilgileri ve küçük boyutlu dosyalar transfer edilebilirken, yeni versiyon ile multimedya içerikler, video ve müzik dosyaları yüksek hızda gönderilip alınabiliyor. Ayrıca Geliştirilmiş Güç Kontrolü (EPC) ile gerekli durumlarda sinyal arttırımı yapılarak bağlantı kopmalarının da önüne geçileceği öngörülüyor.
Türkiye’nin Bluetooth SIG’deki temsilcisi Desnet Yazılım AR-GE yöneticisi Gürbüz Ekinci, yeni geliştirilen Bluetooth Modüllerinin, Mobil saha satış otomasyonu başta olmak üzere, fabrikalarda, hastanelerde, kamuda sayaç okuma projelerinde ve elektronik devrelerle geliştirilen bütün sistemlerde Mayıs ayından itibaren kullanılmaya başlanacağını belirtti.

Ziyaretçilerle alışveriş merkezi arasında ilginç bir duygusal bağ kurmayı amaçlayan etkinlikte 1000’e yakın müşterinin kayıt olduğu belirtildi. Aktiviteyi yürüten Vodera’nın Proje Yöneticisi Elbruz Erdoğan, “Yılbaşı etkinliğinde çok değerli bir müşteri datası oluşturduk ve aynı zamanda da alışveriş merkezi ziyaretçilerinin cep telefonlarına Metroport logosuyla girdik ve ziyaretçilerle Metroport arasında kuvvetli bir bağ oluşmasına yönelik adımlar attık. Bluetooth, yeni sürümü 2.2 ile çok daha yüksek data aktarım hızlarına ulaşacak. Peki ama 2.2 sürümü neleri değişirecek?
Bluetooth’un 2.2 sürümü 2009’un ortalarında hazır olacak. Önceki sürümlere göre Bluetooth 2.2 daha hızlı bir bağlantı sunacak ve transfer hızını artıracak.
Bluetooth’u geliştirmek için kurulan SIG (Bluetooth Special Interest Group)’in yaptığı açıklamaya göre yeni sürüm Bluetooth yüksek hızlar için USB ve WLAN teknolojilerini kullanacak ve Bluetooth 10x ve Bluetooth 100x olarak adlandırılacak. Bu yeni teknolojinin kablosuz video izleme ve çıktı alma konusunda şimdiki teknolojiyi bir adım daha ileri götürmesi bekleniyor. Bu teknolojinin çalışması için cep telefonunuzun WLAN veya UWB(Ultra-Wideband) teknolojisine sahip olması gerekecek. İlk olarak Bluetooth 10x adı verilen teknolojinin kullanılacağı açıklandı.
Şu an bu teknolojiyi kullanan bir cep telefonu olmadığı için henüz test aşamasının sonuçlarını bilemiyoruz. Ancak ilgili teknolojiyi destekleyen cep telefonları çıkar çıkmaz test aşamasının sonuçlarını görebileceğiz.
Türkiye’de Bluetooth’lu çözümler geliştiren tek AR-GE şirketi olan Desnet Yazılım Ar-Ge Direktörü Gürbüz Ekinci, Bluetooth’daki bu gelişmenin çok kısa sürede müşteri odaklı çözümlere yansıyacağını bildirdi ve şöyle devam etti. “Mobil Çözümlerde, özellikle araç yazıcı setleri (Araçta muhasebe setleri) konusunda çok yoğun olarak kullandığımız Bluetooth teknolojisindeki bu geliştirme mutluluk verici. Bluetooth’un geliştirildiği enstitü olan Bluetooth SIG üyesi olan ve orada AR-GE faaliyeti yürüten tek Türk şirketi olarak bu geliştirmelerde katkı sahibi olmamız Türk teknolojisi açısından önemli. Bluetooth’un teknoloji dünyasına katacak daha çok şeyi olduğunu düşünüyoruz”.
Bluetooth 2.2′nin performans ve hız konusunda katettiği gelişmeleri, şuan maksimum 100 metre olan mesafesi konusunda da yakın gelecekte göstereceği tahmin ediliyor. Yani yakında 1 kilometrelik mesafede Bluetooth ile dosya transferi yapılabileceği öngörülüyor.

Son yıllarda adı sıkça duyulmaya başlanan Bluetooth nedir? Daha çok bilgisayarlarla yazıcılar arasındaki kablonun yerini alacağı vurgulanan Bluetooth acaba daha başka neler getirecek? Ne gibi uygulama alanları olabilir? Teknik altyapısı nasıldır? İsmi neden Bluetooth’tur? Bu gibi sorular, kısa ve anlaşılabilir bir dille aşağıda yanıtlanmaya çalışılmıştır.
Bluetooth Nedir?
Bluetooth, kablosuz kısa mesafeli, ses ve veri haberleşmesini sağlamak için oluşturulmuş ve standard çalışmaları hala devam eden bir sisteme verilen addır. Bugün pek çok insanın kullandığı televizyonların uzaktan kumandası, aslında Bluetooth’un atası sayılabilir. Ancak aradaki en büyük fark, şu an kullanılmakta olan uzaktan kumandalar (TV vb.), IrDA (infra Red Data Association), kızıl ötesi ışık ile veri iletişimini sağlamaktadır. Bluetooth’da ise 2.4 GHz’de radyo dalgaları kullanılmaktadır, dolayısıyla IrDA gibi doğrudan görüş hattı gerektirmemenin üstünlüğünü sunmaktadır.
Bluetooth İsmi:
Bluetooth adı, 940 ve 981 yılları arasında yaşamış olan, Danimarka kralı Harald Blatand’dan gelmektedir. Kral Blatand yönetimi süresince ülkesindeki insanların birbirleriyle konuşmalarını dolayısıyla yakınlaşmalarını sağlamıştır ve Danimarka ile Norveç’i birleştirmiştir. Aslında bir Viking olan kral Blatand’ın adı İngilizceye Bluetooth olarak geçmiş, kısa mesafeli haberleşme sistemi fikrini ortaya atanlar tarafından bu sisteme, Kral Harald Bluetooth’un anısına atfen, Bluetooth adı verilmiştir. Bugün, insanların birbirleriyle konuşmasını salık veren ve Norveç ile Danimarka’nın birleşmesini sağlayan Kral Bluetooth’un adı, cihazların birbiriyle haberleşmesini ve bilgisayarlar ile telekom dünyasının birleşmesini sağlayan sistemin adıdır.
Bluetooth Fikri:
Bluetooth fikri ilk kez 1994 yılında Ericsson firması tarafından gündeme getirilmiştir. İlk olarak cep telefonları ile dizüstü bilgisayarları biribirine kablosuz olarak bağlama düşüncesiyle ortaya çıkmış, daha sonra mobil veri (data) kullanımının daha çok artacağı görülünce tüm kısa mesafeli veri ve ses haberleşmesini içerisine alacak bir sisteme dönüştürülmüştür. Önümüzdeki yıllarda, daha önce mobil ses iletişimi gelişiminde olduğu gibi, mobil veri iletişimininde yaygılaşacağına kesin gözüyle bakılmaktadır. Bu gelişimin Bluetooth ile birlikte olacağı ise kaçınılmazdır.
Bluetooth Özel Çalışma Grubu (Bluetooth SIG):
İster haberleşme, isterse farklı bir alan olsun, Dünya genelinde standartlar devletin kontrolündeki belli kurumlar veya kar gütmeyen organizasyonlar tarafından belirlenir. Örneğin Avrupa’daki haberleşme sistemlerinin standartları ETSI tarafından, Amerikadaki bazı standartlar ise ANSI tarafından tanımlanır. Türkiye’de ise TSE pek çok standardı belirler ya da ETSI gibi gruplar ile işbirliği yaparak bu standartları oluşturur. Bluetooth ise bu konuda farklı bir yapıya sahiptir.
Geleneksel yapılanmanın tersine Bluetooth standartları Bluetooth SIG (Special Interest Group) adı verilen Bluetooth Özel İlgi Grubu tarafından belirlenmektedir. Bu grup ilk olarak Ericsson, Nokia, IBM, Intel ve Toshiba tarafından kurulmuş, daha sonra bu gruba aralarında Motorola, 3Com, Microsoft, Lucent, Qualcomm gibi dev firmaların da bulunduğu yaklaşık 1500 firma katılmıştır. Bu firmalar sürekli bir işbirliği içerisinde çalışmalarını sürdürmektedirler.
Bluetooth standartları, diğer standartların aksine, tümüyle ücretsiz olarak herkese açık standartlardır.
Bluetooth’un Kullanım Alanı:
Bluetooth’un kullanım alanı olabildiğince geniştir. Kısa mesafeli haberleşmede hayal edilebilecek pek çok şeye alt yapı sağlayabilmektedir. Bir kaç örnek vermek gerekirse:
-Bluetooth ile donatılmış cep telefonunuzu çantanızda taşırken, kulağınıza takılı olan kulaklık-mikrofon ile telefon konuşmanızı yapabilirsiniz,
-Arabanızla yolculuk ederken arabanızda bir sorun olduğunda Bluetooth’lu arabanız ve cep telefonunuz aracılığı ile arabanızın tüm diyagnostik bilgilerini servise aktarabilir, hatta servisin aynı altyapı üzerinde arabanıza müdahale etmesini sağlayabilirsiniz,
-Amerika’da, tümüyle Bluetooth altyapısına geçmiş olan “Holiday Inn Hotel”in lobisinde otururken, cebinizden Bluetooth’lu “e-mail kalem”inizi çıkarıp bir kağıdın üzerine istediklerinizi yazip “Gönder” tuşuna basarak e-postanızı gönderebilirsiniz.
-Bluetooth’lu arabanızla Boğaz Köprüsünden veya herhangi bir otoyol gişesinden beklemeden geçiş yaparken arabanız gişe ile haberleşip kredi kartınızdan gerekli ödemeyi otomatik olarak yapabilir. Aynı araçla, aynı işlemi Avrupa gezisine çıktığınızda da yapabilirsiniz.

Teknik Altyapı:
Bluetooth standardı 10 metre uzaklığa kadar ses ve veri haberleşmesinin sağlanmasını öngörmektedir. Ancak opsiyon olarak bu uzaklık 100 metreye çıkabilmektedir. Haberleşme radyo-link bir yapıyla sağlanmakta ve kanal başına asimetrik 723.2 kbit/sn, simetrik olarak ise 433.9 kbit/sn’lik veri haberleşmesini, aynı anda 64 kbit’lik 3 adet senkron ses kanalını ve aynı anda bir adet senkron ses, bir adet asenkron veri kanalını da destekleyebilmektedir.
Frekans bandı 2.4 GHz ile 2.48 GHz arasındadır. Bu bandın kullanımı lisanssız olup endüstriyel, bilimsel ve medikal (ISM) bant olarak adlandırılmaktadır. Kanal sayısı 1 MHz’lik aralıklarla toplam 79 adet olmakla birlikte Fransa ve Japonya’da 23 adedi kullanılmaktadır. Giriş tekniği olarak, Zaman Bölmeli Çoklu Giriş (TDMA, Time Division Multiple Access) tekniğinin bir türevi olan Zaman Bölmeli İkileme (TDD, Time Division Duplexing) tekniği kullanılmaktadır. Çevre gürültülerine bağışık olabilmesi için ise Frekans Atlamalı Yayılmış Spectrum (FHSS, Frequency Hopping Spread Spectrum) tekniğini FM modülasyonla birleştirerek kullanmaktadır. Taşıyıcı frekansı saniyede 1600 atlama yapmakta, bir başka değişle saniyede 1600 defa kanal değiştirmekte, dolayısıyla ortam gürültüsü ve karışımdan etkilenme asgari düzeye inmektedir. Temel band (Baseband) modülasyonu olarak da GFSK (Gaussian Frequency Shift Keying) modülasyon tekniği kullanılmaktadır.
RF (Radyo Frekansı) çıkış gücü nominal 0dBm (1 mW), opsiyon olarak da 20dBm (100 mW) olarak belirlenmiştir.
Bluetooth’un cihaz başına hedef maliyeti ise 5 USD’nin altındadır.
Evrensel Olarak Onaylanmış Teknoloji
Her Bluetooth cihazı tek ve eşsiz bir kimliğe sahiptir. Bluetooth teknolojisine sahip bir ekipman çevresinde Bluetooth özelliğine sahip başka ekipmanlar olup olmadığını araştırır. Temas halinde, sistemlerin bağlantı kurup kurmayacaklarını belirlemeleri amacıyla sistemler arasında bir bilgi alışverişi gerçekleştirilir. İlk karşılaşma sırasında Bluetooth cihazları kişisel kimlik numaralarını (Personal Identification Number – PIN) birbirlerine gönderir. Bundan sonra, daha fazla teşhis işlemine gerek yoktur. Bir Bluetooth hücresi içinde aynı anda en fazla sekiz cihaz çalışabilir. Üstelik her Bluetooth cihazı aynı anda farklı hücreler içinde aktif olabilir.

Since the debate has raged on for a long time over what is right and wrong when it comes to Bluetooth marketing as well as proximity marketing as a whole, the MMA introduced the new set of rules aimed to “reference framework for any company using Bluetooth marketing, and are the result of discussions between operators, content providers, advertising agencies, brands and technology firms.”
The guidelines cover almost every aspect of Bluetooth marketing, including the delivery, types of content, permission-based attributed, as well as proposed legislation. It’s all aimed solely at the European market, for now, but ultimately as other parts of the world realize the benefits of the Bluetooth marketing, the guidelines will already be in place to regulate any future offerings.
While the MMA is focusing on Bluetooth at the moment, they’ve already stated that it will expand to wi-fi, Near-Field Communications (NFC) and location-based services as well.
“Bluetooth has several clear advantages that make it an attractive way to distribute content but must have consistent deployments,” says Laura Marriott, MMA President. “As with other forms of mobile marketing communication, it is important to provide guidelines that ensure a positive user experience.”
The MMA is holding public consultation until September 26th to get any feedback related to the proposed guidelines, and will release a finalized version for late October. I would venture to guess the new guidelines won’t change many aspects of those who are using Bluetooth marketing in the right way, meaning proper permission and opt-in processes, and will instead move the industry in the right direction and keep any future offerings in line with other mobile marketing channels such as SMS.

25-28 Eylül tarihleri arası İstanbul Beylikdüzü Tüyap Fuar Merkezi’nde düzenlenen Marketingist Pazarlama Araç ve Hizmetleri fuarında Bluegiga Bluetooth Server’larla geliştirilmiş Bitotem’lerle yapılan Bluetooth Uygulaması, ziyaretçileri şaşırttı.
Vodera’nın, Bluetooth Marketing ile ilgili tüm kurgularını, bugüne kadar gerçekleştirdikleri projeleri anlattığı Marketingist fuarının ilk gününde “Bluetooth Marketing – Mobil Pazarlamada yeni trendler-yeni teknolojiler” konferansını 100’e yakın dinleyici izledi.
Marketingist Fuarında Vodera’nın yüklendiği Bluetooth Marketing sponsorluğunun ikinci yılında Tüyap fuar merkezi Bluetooth yayın altyapısı ile kapsandı ve fuar alanı girişinde konulan panolar ile ziyaretçilerin fuar alanına girerken Bluetooth’larını açmaları sağlandı. 10 ayrı noktaya konulan Bitotem’ler ile de fuarın farklı noktalarında cep telefonlarına farklı içerikler gönderildi. Bu yıl Vodera’nın Marketingist ziyaretçilerine, katılımcılarına ve düzenleyicilerine bir sürprizi vardı. Geliştirilen MarketingistMobile uygulaması, Java tabanlı bir cep telefonu aplikasyonu olarak Bluetooth ile ziyaretçilere yükletildi. Grafik tabanlı olmasına rağmen yüzlerce cep telefonu modelini destekleyen MarketingistMobile, Türkiye’nin ilk Mobil Fuar uygulaması oldu.
MarketingistMobile uygulamasında Marketingist’in balık tutan adam görseli kullanıldı. Uygulamanın ana menüsünden, YERLEŞİM PLANI, KATILIMCILAR, YARDIM ve İLETİŞİM bölümlerine ulaşılıyor. Her cep telefonu ekranında görülebilir şekilde büyük ölçeklenen fuar alanı krokisi, cep telefonunun yön tuşlarıyla yukarı aşağı sağa sola yönlendirilebiliyor. Katılımcılar listesinden de istenilen katılımcıyı seçince kroki üzerinden bu katılımcının bulunduğu yer gösteriliyor.

Dünya üzerinde Bluetooth teknolojisinin geliştirildiği tek merkez olan Bluetooth SIG, 21 Nisan’da yeni versiyon Bluetooth teknolojisi olan Bluetooth 3.0′ın özelliklerini açıklayacağını duyurdu. Bluetooth SIG’e bağlı Bluetooth Çip üreticileri, yeni versiyonun kamuoyuna açılmadığı halde bu aydan sonra güncellenmiş versiyonuyla kullanılmaya başlanacağını bildirdi.
Yeni yıla günler kala Metroport Alışveriş Merkezi, alışveriş merkezleri aktivitelerine bir yenisi daha ekledi. Bluetooth noktalarından “I love Metroport” logolu içerikleri indiren ziyaretçiler, bu logoyla kayıt masasına başvurarak hediyeler kazandı.
Bluetooth, yeni sürümü 2.2 ile çok daha yüksek data aktarım hızlarına ulaşacak. Peki ama 2.2 sürümü neleri değişirecek?
